Falkenstein Castle Ruin

The mighty border fortress built around 1050 on a limestone cliff above the romantic wine village of Falkenstein is today the most famous castle ruin in the Weinviertel with a fantastic view. Particularly worth seeing are a natural limestone cave, historic vaults with artefacts and documentation on the history of the Anabaptist movement, and a replica of a historic wooden galley.

A visit to the castle ruins can also be combined with a one-hour guided tour. A guided tour is offered for groups of 8 or more.
Special Betty Bernstein children's tours are offered for children.

Adventure tours "Children's life in the Middle Ages
On the guided tour "Children's Life in the Middle Ages", guests learn a lot about the life of children in a medieval castle. After a short guided tour of the castle ruins, visitors can try their hand at being a medieval scribe and seal the documents they have made with goose quill and ink.
After a snack of gingerbread and grape juice, there will be fun games in the tournament courtyard!
