Opis
As we all know, it's the inner values that count. Especially when it comes to food. The Jell Inn in Krems' old town is known for its extravagant cuisine. From the roasted kidneys with bacon to the baked brains with chive sauce - "offal is the heart of great cuisines," knows innkeeper Laurent Amon, who has taken over the reins from Ulli Amon-Jell.
A hostess with heart and soul who continues to shape the traditional 16th century house and has made it what it is today: a gourmet restaurant with quality Austrian cuisine. The oven-fresh roast pork neck with potato dumplings and coleslaw fits perfectly into the picture. For desserts, it's the pot dumplings in butter crumbs that provide the perfect finish. The personal touch of the house unfolds in the homemade jams and pâté.
Culinary flight of fancy on the Danube
"Quaint and charming" probably describes the Jell Inn best. The Zirbenstub'n, which has existed in its basic form since 1897, is considered the centrepiece, the hub of social interaction. The garden exudes a Mediterranean flair, not only because of the plants. The stone elements and the sunny location create a Mediterranean atmosphere. And all this in the middle of the historic old town of Krems, which has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Landscape Wachau since 2000. A region to be discovered. With the World Heritage Trail and the Danube Cycle Path, the gateway to the Wachau is wide open for guests.
