Gerersdorf

The municipality of Gerersdorf in the district of Sankt Pölten-Land was first mentioned in a document in 1040 - at that time under the name "Geroltestorff", derived from the prefect Gerold II, who worked in the 9th century. Today there are twelve cadastral municipalities in Gerersdorf - from Völlerndorf and Grillenhöfe to Hetzers - and Loipersdorf. The landscape is characterized by beautiful cycling and hiking routes and traditional inns. There are also many sporting and health initiatives for locals and guests.
