Blockheide-Eibenstein Nature Park

Weird and wonderful granite formations, quiet forests, soft meadows and heathlands, hidden forest ponds and the natural creek valley. Get inspired by the bizarre rocking stones and the diverse cultural landscape of the Blockheide Nature Park.

In the Blockheide Nature Park, several themed hiking routes lead through the light, Nordic-looking coniferous forests, past playgrounds, along the 15th earth meridian line that runs right through the park, past a former reservoir, and past the legendary stone giants and rocking stones such as the Christopherus Stone or the Kobold Stones.  The ascent to the top of the 30 metre high observation tower is rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view of the region. There are also exciting tours and exhibitions for adventurers of all ages.

Next to the tower, the Schutzhaus Blockheide inn invites you to enjoy a hearty snack surrounded by nature.
