In the Pielachtal, the Dirndltal (valley), is Rabenstein an der Pielach an ideal starting point for many leisure activities, such as mountain biking. With a mountain bike, the circular surrounding peaks can be excellently reach, as also the Kaiserkogel.
Past the Pielach wooden bridge, the Kaiserkogel-trail runs along the Deutschbang up to the Güterweg (trade route) “Kaisergrub“. Continue through the "Etzhof", where a sophisticated ascent leads to the Kaiserkogel-Hütte. The descent is accomplished in the direction "Hagelbauer" up to the Meiselhöhe. Continue on to Plambacheck to the mouth of the B39. Turn right in the direction of Hofstetten-Grünau and before the "Pielachtaler Sehnsucht" turn left towards Pielachtal cycle path. Then on this turn left back to the train station at Rabenstein.
